is a small village within the Town of Ramapo. The Justice
Court is responsible for handling all court matters, including parking
violations, civil and criminal cases, and small claims. Anthony
Benedict, Village Justice. Daniel Goldman, Acting Village
Justice. Renee Stala, Justice Court Clerk. Airmont voted to become a village in 1989. Airmont's first mayor was Maureen Kendrick, who was elected in 1991, and she was followed by Ralph Bracco, Ray Kane and John Layne. The Village of Airmont occupies about a five-square-mile area in Rockland County, Town of Ramapo. It is situated in the Ramapo Mountains. It it is blessed with good air and a lot of greenery. Most tickets and criminal summons in Airmont are received when passing through on Route 59. One may not even released that they have entered or left the jurisdiction.
